Toronto is evolving and Safehaven is at the forefront of leading the way to change.
The city's hospitals are currently facing considerable strain, with numerous children remaining in hospital beds due to a lack of alternative care options. Safehaven is actively addressing this challenge by providing viable solutions for these children.
With the support from the Government of Ontario, we are embarking on an ambitious redevelopment of our Bloor Street location to create a new home for children and adults with medical complexities.
This new space will increase access to respite, transitional, and long-term community-based residential care, helping to relieve pressure on hospitals and offering families the essential support they deserve. But building a more inclusive city takes all of us!
